The problem is that fake copies look identical, and they exist to capture logins, deposits and one-time codes. This page is about telling the two apart. How fake mirrors work
A copy of the site's front page is placed on a look-alike domain — a letter swapped, an extra word, a different ending. Links are spread through chat groups, social media comments and ads. When you log in, your password goes to the copy's owner; when you deposit, the money goes to them. Some copies then show a fake balance to encourage further deposits.
Checks before logging in
- Type the address yourself or use a bookmark you created.
- Read the domain letter by letter in the address bar.
- Be suspicious of links from chat groups, comments or unsolicited messages.
- Check whether the deposit screen asks you to transfer to a personal account — genuine cashiers route through payment providers.
- If the site asks for your banking password inside its own window, leave.
If you think you used a fake
- Change your password on the genuine site and anywhere you reused it.
- Contact your bank immediately if you entered card or banking details.
- Keep screenshots and transaction references.
