Roulette: count the zeros
A European-style wheel has one zero; an American-style wheel adds a double zero. The extra pocket roughly doubles the house edge. If you play roulette, the wheel type is the first thing to check. No betting system changes the edge — they only change how wins and losses are spread.
Blackjack: decisions matter
Blackjack is the one table game where your choices change the expected result. Basic strategy — the mathematically best decision for every hand — reduces the edge considerably. Rule variants matter too: a blackjack that pays 6:5 instead of 3:2 costs the player significantly more.
Baccarat: simple and fast
Baccarat has no decisions after the bet. Banker bets usually carry a commission; tie bets pay more but come with a much higher edge. Its speed makes session limits important.
